The Martin Ennals Award
More than just an award on human rights, the Martin Ennals Award protects women and men who have shown deep commitment and courage in the face of great personal risk. The Award reaches its objective through increased public visibility of the finalists and through a set of advocacy actions. Financial support is also provided to the finalists to support their activities.
Often referred to as the “Nobel Prize of human rights”, the Martin Ennals Award is a unique partnership between ten global human rights organizations, who act as the independent Jury for this Award, as part of their role to protect and promote human rights around the world.
